Mangalore: A new Tulu movie is in the making-it’s name ‘Rickshaw Driver” The muhurath for this film was held at the Sri Mangaladevi Temple in Mangalore on November 12, Monday. Lakshminarayana Asranna, Chief Priest of Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, blessed the occasion.

Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion include JD(S) leaders Nagaraj Shetty and Sadanand Shetty, Sulochani S Devadiga, owner of Sri Muttu Films and Praveen Kumar Konchady, Producer and Fr Andrew D’Souza.

The camera was switched on by Sulochani Devadiga while the first clap was given by Lakshmi Narayana Asranna.

UT Khader, MLA, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, noted Tulu playwright, Dr Annayya Kulal and others were present. The film is expected to be shot in a month’s time in different locations including Madikeri, Kasargod, Bangalore and Mangalore.

The cast of the film include Karthik Banjan, Roopika, Suresh, Naveen D  Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojraj Vamanjoor and Stany Alvares  among others.
