Mangalore : It’s the last day of the year and 2013 is just a  few hours away. There will be lot of fun and merriment across the district. However, the police department has permitted New Year parties only upto 1 am on the night of December 31. All parties have to close at 1 am.

People can also welcome the New year at beaches across DK and Udupi districts including Panambur, Suratkal, Mukka, Tannirbavi. However the only condition is that all merriment has to end at 1 am and the celebrations should not cause disturbance to anyone. All people have to maintain discipline, the police have warned.

Police will also be on patrolling on December 31 from 7 pm onwards in Mangalore and 6 pm onwards in Udupi. Traffic too will be regulated in all the four divisions of Mangalore Police Commissionerate.
