Udupi: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned on Mannapalla walking track here today.

As per sources, a dental student, who was walking by, found the baby lying alone on the walking track. Later with the help of locals, they made arrangements to shift the baby to a hospital.

The baby is said to be healthy.

The district child welfare officials visited the hospital and made necessary arrangements.

A complaint has been registered at Manipal Police station.
