Mysore : Karnataka PWD Minister Mahadevappa told press persons today a grant of 112 crores as been made for the festival of Panchalinga deity starting from Nov.28 up to Dec.4 it may be extended to Dec.7 in view Shashty festivals.
About 3 lacks of devotees are expected to attend the festival for about 1 week. All necessary arrangements for the stay, food, roads and toilets and many other facilities required for such a festival had been completed. There is a rush of pilgrims to Mysore to have Darshan (sight) of Panchalingeshwara in the age-old temple in Mysore he informed.
Several permanent facilities regarding bolding and lodging in the form of Choultries and dining rooms will be taken up in 2014 from the available funds of about 3 crores.
