Belthangady: Where is Malegaon (Maharashtra, near Pune) and where is Belthangady (a taluk inside D.K district), but arms of law can reach from one end to the other in search of criminals, to apprehend them.

Officials of the newly formed National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the bomb blasts of 2009 at Goa during Deepavali and the infamous Malegaon (Maharastra) blasts, reached the hill-town on Monday and took into custody two bad youths living in Neriya GP at Thotattady in the taluk for questioning on criminal acts.

The young men were taken to Belthangady police station on Monday evening and the detectives thoroughly interrogated them for long hours.

The arrested boys Uday and Vinay, children of Shanmugam from Aniyoor village, were relatives of one of the main accused in the Malegaon blast case, Jayaprakash.

Sadhwi Prajnay Singh Thakur figures in this case as main accused. The boys were living with Jayaprakash in Goa in the past, but Uday still worked in Goa and had gone home to Neriya recently.

Jayaprakash belonged to Kadaba in Puttur outskirts, which has a Railway station and was married to a girl related to Uday and Vinay.

As Jayaprakash is missing, the detectives had come over to question the 2 youths to get at the present whereabouts of JP But they were ignorant, as they were in Goa and Bangalore, separately.

The NIA team are unable to make any headway, as locals suspect them of creating trouble.
