Mangalore : Kolathurpadavu villagers saw peculiar writings on stones at proposed land of ultra mega thermal power plant of 4000 mw capacity in Niddodi village of Kallamundkur Gram Panchayat limits here on July 8, Tuesday.

The local women first noticed on July 8 evening and immediately informed to the Matrubhoomi Samrakshana Samiti members.
Samiti president Alphonse D’Souza and other came to the place and inspected strange writings on stones. They enquired the Tahsildar, forest department and panchayat authorities but they had no information about this.

The Samithi members also perceived the stones were dumped at Tenkamijar, Badagamijar, Nidddoi border areas. The stones were marked the 971, 974 digits along with the arrows signs.

The stones etched in white, blue and green colors. It is suspected that the writings on the stones may be in bond to the thermal project.

Locals said, the land may be acquired for some other project. It still remains a mysterious about the writings.
