Bengaluru : Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s wedding to be held on April 17, in simple manner due to extended lockdown in the nation said, former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.
He said that the wedding will take place on the scheduled date itself in a simple manner amid presence of close family members.
Kumaraswamy also urged JDS workers not to attend the function in view of the lockdown and bless the couple from their homes.
In the future, we will hold a reception and invite everyone,” the JDS leader added.
It is said, 300-500 people can attend the function. The social media with netizens questioning if VVIPs can be allowed to flout lockdown norms just because they can.
Questioned regarding granting of permission for the wedding amid the lockdown, Home Minister Bommai replied that he is trusting Kumaraswamy’s words that only family members will attend the marriage.
