Puttur : A nine-year-old child and woman died after a car rammed into pedestrians near Darbe bypass here on Monday November 2.

It is said, a woman who was walking along with two children on the footpath, suddenly a Kerala registration number, dashed into two children.

After ramming into the woman and the children, the car hit another car that was approaching from the opposite direction.

The two children sustained grievous injuries while the woman suffered minor bruises.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Puttur. However, the nine-year-old child could not be saved.

The Swift car was moving from Mangaluru towards Sullia.

The other child has been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
