Udupi: Astrologer Niranjan Bhat, the one who is accused of hotelier Bhskar Shetty’s murder will be nabbed soon by the special investigation team, said a police press release on Sunday.

As per the police they had received a missing complaint o Bhaskar Shetty from his Mother Gulabi Shetty, on July 28.

She has alleged the involvement of Bhaskar’s wife in the incident. It is said that Bhaskar’s wife Rajeshwari and astrologer Niranjan Bhat had illicit relationship and Bhaksar was aware of it. He had crores of property in Udupi as well as had a business in Saudi Arabia.

Bhaskar had told to Rajeshwari that she will not be getting a single penny from his property as he was about to get separated from his wife. Raged by this Rajeshwari and her illicit lover Niranjan Bhat planned to hack him to death thinking that they will be the future owners of his property. The plan was executed with the help of Bhaskar’s son Navneet Shetty.

Navneet and Rajeshwari were arrested on August 7, Sunday, but Niranjan was absconded since the day complaint was lodged.

“Niranjan Bhat will be nabbed soon,” said Assistant Superintendant of Police Vishnuvardhan.
