Mangaluru: A team of 10 undergraduate students from different departments of the Nitte-based NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), along with one faculty member, will be participating in SAKURA student exchange programme under the theme ‘Drone technology and system integration’ at Ritsumeikan University in Japan from June 13 to 20.
A press release issued by NMAMIT here recently said that the ‘Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Programme in Science’ (SAKURA exchange programme in science) was aimed at enhancing knowledge exchange between the youth of Asia and Japan by facilitating short-term visits of competent Asian youth to Japan.
This was a scholarship programme for undergraduate/graduate students/postdoctoral researchers. NMAMIT had received an invite from Ritsumeikan University to send representatives to SAKURA Exchange Programme in Science.
Accordingly, the team would be led by faculty advisor, Sukesh Rao Muligar. The students in the team are: Nireeksha N. Bhat, Rean Clive Fernandes, Adithya Maroli Dinesh, Aditya Yogish Pai, Glenn Thomas Alex, Varsha Prabhu, Vitla Amitha Padiyar, Rahul R. Pai, Nayak Guruvayankere Nikitha and Sachin Francis D’Souza, the release said.
