Bangalore: Ramnagar District SP Anupam Agarwal has said that Nityananda and some of his accomplices against whom FIR has been lodged, will be traced wherever they are and arrested.
Meanwhile, search has begun at the Bidadi Dhyana Peetha of Nityananda on Tuesday evening by officials and reports mentioned that police have found several beds, condoms, liquor bottles rudrakshi chains etc near the Western Gate.
Officials have informed that the search will have to continue for three to four days. On Tuesday, the search continued till late night jointly by the revenue and police department officials.
The search in the Ashram will be held in the presence of four to five persons relating to the Ashram, authorities informed.
Meanwhile, there has arisen a debate regarding the recent orders issued by CM Sadananda Gowda to arrest Nityananda. There are officials who argue that it is the investigation officer who will have to decide on the arrest of an accused on the basis of the investigation and evidences. The CM who himself is an advocate should be aware of this, they say.
On the other hand, Nityanand has filed a petition in the High Court seeking cancellation of the FIR against him in connection with the untoward incident in the Ashram. The writ was filed by Ravi B Nayak, advocate for Nitya.
The Government on its part has directed the Bangalore Regional Commissioner to investigate and submit a report within 15 days.
