Karkala : The graduation ceremony of undergraduate second autonomous batch of Engineering (2008-12), M.Tech (2010-12) and MCA (2009-12) of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology, Nitte was held at institute Campus on June 16, Saturday.
The Institute handed over degrees to 586 undergraduates and 156 post graduates in engineering.
After handing over the degree certificates, chief guest Dr. T.C.Shivashankar Murthy, Vice Chancellor, Mangalore University said that even after three decades of independence, the country’s economy growth has been expanded since it could not produce great scientists and engineers.
He also said that India is excelling in areas like space technology, information technology, biotechnology, nano technology apart from agriculture and by the end of 2050, it will be place in the top position among the world’s advanced countries.
Presiding over the event, N.Vinaya Hegde, President, Nitte Education Trust and Chancellor, Nitte University felicitated the toppers with gold medal.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the students to learn new things in their life daily and complete their assignments with pleasure.
