Uppinangady: No solution seems to be in sight for the head scarf row that has cropped up at the Ramakunjeshwara Pre-University College near Kadaba, with the management refusing to agree to the demand to permit students with head scarfs to the college campus.

The female students of the college wearing head scarfs are seen sitting on a a dharna outside the college gate as they are not permitted to sit on a protest inside the college premises.

Meanwhile, reports say talks are expected to be held under the leadership of K Ram Bhat, Honorary President of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, with representatives of managements of the various private educational institutions in Puttur on the issue.

It may be recalled here that a meeting between the college management and the parents of the agitating students had failed to come to any conclusion with both sides sticking to their stands.
