Mangaluru : Normal life was affected after heavy rains lashed in Dakshina Kannada on Thursday June 30.

For the last few day, monsoon has been active over the coast with moderate to heavy rains, with isolated very heavy rains.

Kottara Chowki area in Mangaluru city has been prone to artificial flooding every year since the flyover was constructed a decade ago. Every year during monsoons, waterlogging causes inconvenience to motorists and residents in Kottara Chowki area.
