Mangaluru : A murder accused killed by a Gang near his residence at Gorigudda on Monday December 25.

The deceased has been identified as  Melrick D’Souza (26).

Melrick had five cases in different police stations and was a close aide of Monkey Stand Vijay.

It is said that,  a gang seen roaming around his house in the early hours of Christmas day, when he reached home after attending a Christmas party, the gang attacked him with sharp weapons outside his residence. He was released from jail just two days ago.

Melrick was one of the accused in murder of Sandeep Shetty who was an aide of Bannanje Raja at Marnamikatte.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
