Mangalore: Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC of Teachers constituency has said that he was satisfied with his performance as Deputy Chairman of the NRI Forum.
Speaking to reporters at the District BJP Office in Mangalore on December 26, Wednesday, he refuted reports that appeared in the media recently stating that the chief minister had dismissed him from the chairmanship of the Forum. Karnik said he was not dismissed, but his term had ended in October itself.
Capt Karnik said the NRI Forum had been doing a commendable job in building bridges of friendship between the state and people of the state spread across the globe and added it also aimed at protecting the interests of NRIs from Karnataka.
He also explained how the setting up of the Forum was an important achievement of the BJP government.
Nitin Kumar, Chairman of Fisheries Development Corporation, BJP Leaders Srikar Prabhu, Rajgopal Rai were also present.
