Mangalore:The Karnataka NRI Forum of Jeddah (Saudi Arebia)on Friday (Sept.2) organized a programme of joy for special(disabled) children at Asha Nilaya School in Udupi on account of Id-Ul-Fitr and Ganesh Puja.
Rev. Goldin Bangera of CSI Jublee Church fed the children with (black) dates and sweets and complimented the organizers while inaugurating the meet for its uniqueness.
Lion Jayakaar Shetty of Indrali distributed uniforms to students and asked local people to spend some time with these disabled children to understand their ways of life.
A.R.Puttige a builder, praised the NRIs of Arabia for the desire to serve their homeland and disabled kids and urged them to take up a valuable project in this state to benefit the under privileged society.
Mohammed Mansoor presided. S.M Jaffer welcomed the gathering and explained the ideals of Forum. Over 85 students received uniforms. Prominent citizens of Udupi participated in the enlivening programme.
