Mangaluru: “Netravati Rakshana Samyukta Samiti (NRSS) will be organizing Ratha Yathra from December 11 to 13. This is being organized to educate the people about the Yettinahole project’s consequences,” said NRSS President and former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty.
Speaking to the reporters on Thursday he said that the Ratha Yathre will travel from Subrahmanya and will pass through Dharmasthala, Ujire, Belthangady, Guruvayanakere, Uppinangady, B C Road, Mangaluru, Surathkal, Mulky and will end at Kateel.
“After the hearing of the case in NGT, Justice Swatantra Kumar asked MOEF representatives regarding the action taken by them after the direction of NGT. Justice has expressed his unhappiness for not taking the final decision on NGT’s directions,” he said.
Prof mayya said that National Green Tribunal has issued several directions to MoEF in its order on February 15, 2016. The tribunal has showed dissatisfaction on MoEF for following the directions and for not taking the final decision.
