Mangaluru: National Women’s Front (NWF) staged protest n front of DC office demanding CID probe in Mangaluru University secret camera in ladies toilet row, on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering NWF General Secretary Shahida Tasneem said that by granting bail to the accused of the case, all the women’s are been insulted.

“Police have filed a weak case against the accused. There are other things to discover too. It is said that the accused had placed the mobile phone after challenging some other students. If it is true, then more people are also involved in this case. Moreover, police haven’t provided detailed information to the MU regarding the case,” she said.

Shahida Yousuf said that there is not protection for Dalit, minority, tribal and backward caste women. Same situation is continuing in educational institutions also.

“Weak law is helping the accused to escape from the clutches of the law. It provokes him to commit more faults. Stern action should be taken against the accused and that should be a lesson to everyone else,” she added.

NWF state member Farhana Muhammad and others were present.
