Mangalore : A large number of young artists from all over India participated in the painting, sculpture, and photography competition held in Kadri Park as part of the 17th National Youth Festival (NYF).

Eighty-one young people participated in the event, of which 20 participated in the sculpture competition, 25 in the photography category, and 36 in the painting category. Fifteen of these participants were from DK district.

The painting competition was based on the theme of the youth festival, the photography competition was based on the theme of the environment and participants had to click photographs of Pilikula Zoo, Kadri, and Panambur.
