Mangaluru : Bantwal unit KSRTC conductor has ended his life by jumping off the Netravathi river on February 10, Wednesday.
The deceased is identified as Balakrishna B from Puttur.
He has left behind a death note in which he has written that domestic troubles as well as troubles at workplace has driven him to the extreme step.
He has alleged in the letter that officials were harassing him. He has also expressed his displeasure over his brother and has appealed to take care of his mother and children. It has been gathered that he was in financial trouble as he has not been receiving his salary on time.
As the Netravathi bridge used by vehicles has been fenced to prevent people from jumping into the river in a bid to end life, Balakrishna had plunged into the river from the railway bridge.
As there was much traffic on the Netravathi bridge, people had noticed Balakrishna jump into the river and minutes later his body was found floating and was retrieved by the fire service personnel.
A large crowd had also gathered on the Netravathi bridge on coming to know about the incident.
