Mangalore : The Mangalore International Airport and the Cargo Complex at the airport are set to be inaugurated on March 18, Tuesday.

It has been reliably learnt that Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajith Singh, Union Minister for Petroleum Veerappa Moily and Karnataka CM Jagadish Shettar have confirmed their visit to the city on that day to take part in the function. The International Airport was declared in October last year, but is still waiting for a formal inauguration despite international flights operating.

It has been also learnt that the maiden flight from Saudi Arabia will arrive at the Mangalore Airport on March 31.
