Mangaluru : A team of MCC officials including revenue officials embarked upon a drive of evicting all unauthorised petty shops near the Kadri Park on July 31, Saturday.

The operation was initiated at the direction of MCC Commissioner Akshay Sridhar.

The operation was conducted with police protection. It is learnt the eviction drive was done to facilitate works under Smart City project. MCC Revenue Officer Praveen Karkera and others were present.
