Mangalore: The forest department officials arrested E. K. Sulaiman (36) and seized a Maruti car and sandalwood worth Rs 2 lakh.
The police arrested the accused when the sandalwood was being illegally transported in a Maruti car that was moving from Mudigere to Belthangady.
PSI Naveenacharya Jogi and his team stopped the car near Belthangady, arrested E. K. Sulaiman and confiscated 31kgs of sandalwood from him.
The case have been registered in Belthangady Police station.
