Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta conducted an audio conference with BLOs of all the district with regard to inclusion of names in voters’ list, deletion of repeated names and issuing of voters slips.
The DC held discussions with officials in Puttur, Bantwal, Sullia, and Belthangady through walkie talkie device. The DC also informed that officials who strive to increase the voting percentage will be rewarded.
The DC also directed the officials to ensure that all works are done efficiently and avoid last minute rush which may lead to misuse of some facilities. He said SVEEP introduced in the district has led to an increase in applications for inclusion of names in voters list.
He also asked officials to exercise caution while including names to voters list in border areas. The DC urged the public to inform 1077 if they found any case of violation of model poll code of conduct.
He informed that April 7 was the last date for inclusion of names in voters’ list.
