Mangalore: A basic photography course meant for beginners as also advanced amateurs was organised in a day-long workshop run by Mangalore Photography club at Moti Mahal Hotel in city on Sunday, Dec 18.
It was attended by 45 persons. Dr. Krishna Mohan Prabhu, Rohit S. Rao, and Dijaraj Nair acted as resource professors.
There were theory sessions dealing in topics like composition, lighting, focusing and photography concepts. Practical lessons included handling the camera, a detailed instruction about using various cameras, lenses and accessories.
The 45 participants had useful training in portrait, outdoor and other thematic photography subjects.
The organizers had an impressive show of high class camera equipments, lenses, tripods and several accessories.
Specialized fields such as wild-life and nature capture, portraits, still-life, and table-top photography, besides macro and close-up photo taking, were discussed in the workshop.
