Mangaluru : One person drowned and another went missing at Munda beach near Sasihitlu here on Sunday January 10.

The deceased has been identified as Sunder (45) and Damodar (55) has gone missing in the sea.

It is said, four men and four women had come from Thokur, Halengady to attend a baby shower after they went to the beach and thry start playing in the water, all of them got washed away by the strong waves.

The locals rescued six of them ashore,  Sunder’s life could not be saved. The condition of the rescued persons is said to be serious.

Suratkal police registered a case.
