Belthangady: A private electricity contract employee electrocuted and two others sustained injuries at Shalethadka in Kalenja village on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Pratap Moodbidri (20). While the injured victims have been identified as Nagappa and Kishore.

According to the reports, Pratap had climbed up the electricity pole by the roadside to fix an issue when the incident took place. He reportedly died on the spot after electrocution.

A case has been registered at Dharmasthala Police Station.
