Mangalore : In an accident one person was killed and six people sustained injuries on the head when a mini lorry and a bus near Haleangady Junction, Mulky collided with each other on the early morning of October 22, Saturday.

The deceased is Krishna Vasudev Naika. Although he was immediately taken to a private hospital, he could not be saved.

A Government bus was moving from Gadag to Mangalore collided with the mini lorry taking fish from Mangalore to Malpe. The front part of the lorry is completely damaged and the driver has lost his legs in the accident. The damaged vehicles were removed with the help of a crane.

According to the eye witness, both the vehicles were moving in a high speed, where the four-lane construction work is in progress.

All the six people who were travelling in the bus were injured and have been admitted to private hospitals in Mangalore and Suratkal.

 The Mulky police have registered a case.
