Puttur: Puttur police have nabbed one man for assaulting on his wife for dowry, on Wednesday at Bannur, Puttur.

Raviraj Hegde (27) is the arrested person. He is a son of Vishwanath hedge of Jainaraguri.

Raviraj was married to Reshma five years ago. He was harassing her for the dowry frequently.

Last Sunday it was Reshma’s birthday and during the celebration Raviraj had created nuisance after assaulting her.

A case was registered at Puttur town police station and the police have nabbed Raviraj based on the complaint.
