Karkala: A man has been arrested for allegedly involving in theft case by Karkala rural and town police on Wednesday. Police have confiscated valuables of worth Rs 3.5 lakh from the accused.
Umanath Prabhu (47) of Miyar is the person who has been arrested by the police.
As per the reports the accused have admitted his involvement in the crime and revealed the information of theft in 8 houses and one temple. All the thefts have been taken place in Karkala limits in 2016 and 2015.
Rs 11,000 cash, 134 grams of gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 25,000 have been recovered from the police.
The accused has been remanded for judicial custody from the court.
