Puttur:  The Puttur town police arrested one of the accused in shootout case on November 27.

Hours after a shootout incident was reported from Kabaka in the taluk.

On November 26 evening, miscreants fired at Abdul Khader and fled from the scene in their Indica car. However their car developed a flat tyre on the Bengaluru – Mangaluru National Highway and the police team formed to nab the miscreants reached the spot.

While the police managed to nab one of the miscreants the others are said to have escaped into the nearby forest region.
