Bangalore: Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on May 9 Wednesday launched the online process of selection of Haj pilgrims at the Vidhana Saudha.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the government was striving its level best to live upto the expectations of the Muslim community and added it wants to see that more number of Muslims went on Haj tour and also pointed out that there was an increase in the number of aspirants.
He said the process of selection of Haj pilgrims would be highly transparent.
This year a total of 15,476 have applied for aid for Haj tour and there 7515 men and 7981 women Haj aspirants this time.
