New Delhi: The 2 G spectrum scandal involving Telecom Minister form Tamil Nadu A. Raja in a scandal running into over Rs.1 lakh crores in auction sales and demanding his resignation spilled over to Tuesday, as both houses (LS/RS) were adjourned in shouting and disorder, on Monday. A Raja resigned on Monday night, after meeting his boss M. Karunanidhi twice in Chennai. His role in creating huge losses to the UPA Government revenues and a possible corruption deal in Court case are now going the rounds.
Opposition MPs shouted slogans against the Minister and disrupted the question hour on Monday before he put in his papers. A ‘CAG’ report has indicated A. Raja of direct involvement causing heavy losses to the treasury. Home Minister tried to protect Raja by refusing a JPC probe into the Rs. 1.76 lakh crores scandal. PM has referred to the Comptroller & Auditor General’s report on A. Raja’s roles and sought his resignation for the muddle.
