Mangalore: A new exhibition of paintings by 10 artists for the cause of poor children going to schools, was inaugurated today in the city by Dr. H. Prabhakar, Cardiologist, at the Orchid Art Gallery. He said art and society are two faces of the same coin or art is the reflection seen in the lake of society.
S.S. Nayak, F.C.A., chief guest, stated that educational empowerment can transform poor children into professionals and artists. Art helps to balance our life and mental health. It brings pleasure to our expressions.
Nemiraj Shetty of Hastaa Gallery projects in city, informed that if there are no buyers of paintings, art will not grow. Art changes with life and is the best form of human expressions. The show is open till August 29 at the Gallery, from 10am to 7pm.
Dr. B.S. Kakkillaya and all 10 artistes, were present at the opening of the exhibition from the Dhrithi Foundation today.
