Mangaluru : Tulu film ’Oriyan Thoonda Oriyagaapuji’ will be released in five theatres of Mangaluru and Udupi on May 15, Friday. The formal releasing function will be held at Central Talkies at 9.15 am.
Speaking to the media in a press meet held at Hotel Moti Mahal in the city on May 14, Thursday the film producers B Ashok Kumar said that, the movie will hit the silver screens at Central Talkies, Big Cinemas, Cine Polis and PVR Cinema in Mangaluru and at Ashirvad Theatre in Udupi on Friday.
In the second phase, the movie will be released in theatres in BC Road, Puttur, Belthangady, Kasargod, Moodbidri, Bengaluru, Mumbai and also in Gulf nations, he informed.
The film brought out under the banner Sri Mangala Ganesh Combines has a unique story line revolving around daily life happenings. The film has been shot in different locales in Mangaluru and around and at Kanhangad, said Director HS Rajashekhar.
The six songs of the film have been shot at Pilikula and at some scenic locations in Mangaluru apart from Kanhangad. The film also has three fight scenes of Thriller Manju which add up to its story line, he said.
The story, screen play and music is by G Gangadhar Shetty Alake. Arjun Kapikad and Prajwal Poovayya are in the lead roles while the other star cast include Rekha Das, Bhavya and Mitra apart from famed Tulu theatre personalities like Chintan Rai Maani, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sunder Rai Mandara, Saikrishna Alake, Lokesh Barke and others.
Producer A Gangadhar Shetty, Director HS Rajashekhar and lead actor Arjun Kapikad were present in the press meet.
