Mangaluru: Ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen from the Uma Maheshwari Temple in Attvar, the incidents came to lime light on Thursday morning.

Thieves have broke the temple door lock and fled with theft goods. It is reported that Thieves have stolen silver shields of deity Shiva, Lord Krishna, Ganapathi and Vishnumurthy.

Before executing the crime the thieves have wrapped one CCTV camera with cloth and other two cameras were destroyed by them. Canine squad, forensic experts and police have inspected the spot.

A case has been registered in Pandeshwara police station regarding the theft.
