Bangalore: It is at Russel Market in Shivajinagar, opposite St. Mary’s Church in Cantonment area now, that on Friday over 170 shops in rows have been reduced to ashes, with merchants losing lakhs of rupees worth stored materials in busy locality kept for sale, due to a fire in a historic place that has temple, Church and mosques within 500 meters around.
Russel Market is an old British market area, that is burnt down by a large fire.
25 Engines fighting this huge fire were doing all they can, to extinguish the fire.
Local MLA M. Roshan Baig went round, checking the Conditions of small shop-keepers and stalls.
