Udupi :  As many as 3000 students received scholarships on behalf of G Shanker Family Trust  Shamili Auditorium Ambalapady  on July 13, Saturday. Financial aid was also provided to needy Yakshagana artistes.

 The function was inaugurated by Western Range IGP Pratap Reddy. In his address, Reddy said hard work will contribute to success in  society as well as life.

Dr G Shanker, Chairman of the G Shanker Family Trust delivered the keynote address,  delivered the key note address while Arvind, General Secretary Fisheries Department presided over the function.

 Mahima H, topper in SSLC Kannada medium and Sandeep Rao Koradkal, SSLC topper from English Medium, K Radhika Karanth and Subramanya in the II PU exam in Science , Sushmitha Prabhu in Commerce, and Janet Freeda Barboza in Arts  were honoured.

Several dignitaries including Udaykumar, AGM of Vijaya Bank, Dr Boralingaiah, SP of Udupi, Shalini Shanker, Sujatha Pratap Reddy and others attended the function.
