Mangalore : A person standing on the bus stop was crushed to death as the bus ran over him at Bendoorwell on August 28, Thursday.

Reportedly, 51 – number bus coming from Konaje tried to overtake another bus at the bus stop. In a bid to overtake, the driver took the bus over the bus stand killing a person on the spot and injuring two others.

However, the identity of the deceased and the injured is yet to be ascertained.

Kadri police inspector T D Nagaraj arrived at the spot and dispersed the gathered crowd, to smoothen the traffic.
A case has been registered at Kadri police station.
