Mangalore: AJ Hospital and Research Centre inaugurated a free check-up for kids with cardiac problems on Oct 3 Monday.

Dr. Prem Alva, the consultant, pediatric interventional cardiology at AJ Hospital, gave an AV presentation titled Pediatric Interventional Cardiology.

AJ Hospital and Research Centre are conducting this free camp from Oct 3 – 15 for children with cardiac problems as part of its centenary celebrations. During the camp the participants will receive free consultation and Echo at the concessional fee.

The Interventional Pediatric Cardiology facility is the first of its kind to be set up in coastal Karnataka by AJ Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Prashanth Marla, the medical director, welcomed the guests and gathering.

P. Jayarama Bhat, the managing director and chief executive officer of Karnataka Bank, and Dr. Ramesh Pai, the dean of AJ Institute of Medical Science, delivered the inaugural address. A. J. Shetty, the chairman and managing director of AJ Group, presided over the event.
