Mangaluru : Mangalore University has come to have a full-time Vice-Chancellor with Governor Vajubhai Vala appointing P.S. Yadapadithaya to the vacant post.
Following the end of K. Bhyrappa’s term as Vice-Chancellor on June 4, 2018, the Governor had appointed a search committee to find a new Vice-Chancellor.
Meanwhile, Director of Physical Education Kishore Kumar C.K., and Ishwara P. from the Department of Commerce and Kishori Nayak K. from the Department of English discharged duties of the Vice-Chancellor between June 5, 2018 and May 29, 2019.
Prof. Yadapadithaya, Professor from the Department of Commerce, will be the ninth Vice-Chancellor of the university. He has served as Finance Officer of the university for three years and six months and as Registrar (Evaluation) for two years and nine months.
He was Registrar for three years and two months. The Governor has appointed Prof. Yadapadithaya as Vice-Chancellor for a period of four years.
