Mangalore : Belthangady-based journalist Laxmi Machina, has bagged the Pa Go Award for rural reporting.
Guruvappa Balepuni, the general secretary of DK Working Journalists’ Association, issued an official press release in which he stated that Machina’s news report titled “Banjarumale Abhivruddi Kanasu – Kadinalli Kayuthave Kutumbagalu,” which was published in Udayavani dated Aug 26, 2010, was selected for this award.
State Higher Education Minister Dr. V. S. Acharya will present this award on March 20, Sunday at Press Club.
The Pa Go Award comprises Rs. 5001, a memento, and a citation. Dr. Veerendra Heggade, the dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, is sponsoring this award.
