Mangalore : Residents of Pachanady who had staged a protest in front of the MCC office on July 17, Wednesday night and intended to dump meat wastes in front of the MCC office to protest against haphazard dumping of wastes near the Pachanady dumping yard, on Thursday allowed the trucks to dump wastes in the area with the hope that the MCC officials will arrive and have a look at the problem. However, when the officials were not in sight, they blocked the trucks and staged protests.
Finally, MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar arrived at the place to have a first hand information of the problem and assured early action. He also assured that no vehicle will be allowed to enter the dumping yard without the letter of permission from the MCC. He also assured the residents that they can directly contact him in case of any problem.
