Mangaluru : The PaGo Award for the year 2020 was conferred on journalist Pradesh H Marody at a function held at Press Club on March 30, Tuesday.

Pradesh is a reporter in Prajavani Kannada daily and won the award for his article “Keluttilla Male Makkala Alalu” published in Prajavani on June 25, 2020.

The Award is given in memory of journalist P Gopalakrishna by the PaGo Memorial Trust and is presented by the DK District Working Journalists’ Union.

The Awardee was selected by a panel of judges including eminent scholars Dr Dhananjay Kumble, Dr Sunder Kenaje and Dr Sowmya KB Kikkeri.

Prof P S Yadapadittaya, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University, Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of DK Working Journalists’ Union and others were present.

PWD Assistant Engineer Chandrashekharaiah on this occasion donated Rs 50,000 towards Journalists’ Welfare Fund.
