Mangalore : Padyana Gopalakrishna Bhat (PaGo) Award was presented to Suresh D Palli for best rural reporting on his ‘ Korapolu Saarathyadalli Belagida Grama’ at Press Club on March 19, Wednesday.

The DK District Working Journalists Union every year giving this Award to the best reporting in memory late Padyana Gopalakrishna Bhat.

Dr B.M. Hegde, former vice chancellor of MAHE presented the Award.

Speaking after presenting the award, Dr. B.M. Hegde, former chancellor, Manipal University said, Deserving talents are to be awarded without any recommendation. Respecting talent will contribute to individual development.

Late Padyana Gopalakrishna Bhat’s wife Savitri, awardee Suresh’s mother Kurumbilu, Anand Shetty, former president of Press Club, PB Harish Rai, President of DK District Working Journalists’ Union, Srinivas Indaje, Secretary of the union, Ramakrishna, Press Club President and others were present.
