New Delhi: Pakistan today released Indian soldier Chandu Babulal Chavan, who inadvertently had crossed the border last year.
Chavan had crossed the border in September last year.
“As a gesture of goodwill and in continuation of our efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity along LOC and WB, Sepoy Chandu Babulal Chavan has been convinced to return to his own country and will be handed over to Indian authorities at Wagah Border on humanitarian grounds,” Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations said in a press release.
