Mangalore: Speaking after distributing the loan cheques to the minorities under the government sponsored scheme held by Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation, District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar said that today state government is providing facilities to the beneficiaries of minority community.
He also said that if the poor c people are developed then the country will ultimately see the development. Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had introduced several schemes for the welfare of minorities and now CM DV Sadananda Gowda is continuing the work to implement it.
The schemes like Ganga Kalyana scheme had benefited many people by providing pump sets and beneficiaries must utilize it. Yeddyurappa has even introduced the scheme to provide Rs 1000 every month for widow or unmarried women above fifty years.
The state government has also given 3,600 auto and 28 taxi’s and various schemes and loans for the beneficiaries, he said.
N B Abubakker, president of DK Minorities corporation said that earlier there minority office were there in only 7 district but now there is established in 30 districts.
The students are given 10,000 to 70,000 loans for various courses at the interest of 2 percent for 41 courses.
The cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries of Moodbidri, Mangalore, Mangalore North and Mangalore South constituency. The amount of Rs 1,45,10,000 amount of loans were distributed to 1194 beneficiaries BY Palemar. He also districbuted the pump sets under Ganga Kalyana Shceme for 3 beneficiaries.
Deputy Speaker N Yogesh Bhat, released the handouts of Minorities corporation.

Minorities president Anwar Manipady, Standing committee president Sudhir Shetty, ZP CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash, MLA UT Khader, MLA Abhaychandra Jain, ZP president Shailaja Bhat and others were present.
