Mangalore: Consequent upon the party in car creation of Krishna Palemar, his admirers have kept a watchful eye on those BJP officials who had earlier been his beneficiaries, and now on his fall from grace, are proceeding to keep him out of bounds, to make the maximum gains to their credit, by conspiring against him.
Among these the names of city MP Nalin Kumar Katil. District BJP chief (ex-MLA) Padmanabha Kottari, city BJP chief SriKar Prabhu, ex-minister B. Nagaraja Shetty, and practicing lawyer K. Monappa Bhandary remain in front line, with swords drawn out for the kill like Roman senators or as gangsters.
N. Yogish Bhat is likely to take rest after 4 terms as MLA, and Palemar may be weeded out. Nagaraj Shetty does not standa a chance in Bantwal in 2014, but wants to replace Palemar in Suratkal.
Under such dangerous circumstances, Palemar’s stead fast followers, admirers, and Fan club members, are likely to leave BJP and many be, join JD-S, which has no foot-hold in DK as in Udupi at present, with M.G. Hegde not providing effective.
The recent JD-S con clave in Moodabidri did not bring out any strong leader to the fore, but everyone was waiting for HDK’s gifts to DK for election campaigns in terms of lakhs of rupees.
Palemar id unlikely to join congress, but if he did, there is none to challenge him in Suratkal MLA fights.
