Mangalore : Christians in Mangalore observed Palm Sunday  with solemnity on March 24, Sunday. Palm Sunday heralds the beginning of Holy Week and is observed the previous Sunday of Good Friday.

Christians both young and old took part in a procession carrying tender palm leaves in hand. The Palm leaves were later collected for blessing and then distributed to the faithful by the priests.

Palm Sunday marks the end of Lenten Season Christians took part in the procession in various churches across city including Infant Jesus Shrine, Milagres Church and St Sebastian Church, Bendore.
